Evaluation: Question 3

What have you learned from your audience feedback?

After our media showcase of all the films sixth form produced this year, we asked the viewers for feedback, which was 5 questions. Amongst the people asked, they included the headmaster, students and teachers. I found it interesting that many of the people we interviewed said that they would watch the series if it actually got broadcasted on TV! Another comment that was made by a teacher is that she particurly enjoyed the inter-twining storylines, which is the result we wanted to achieve, as this is often seen on existing soaps such as Eastenders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale. Everyone we asked said that they would not change anything in the future if we were to re-do 'The Vale', which is good news. When we asked what television channel would be best to broadcast our soap drama on, the majority of people said BBC Three, however some did say E4 which was expected. However, I do think it was a good idea that we decided to change to BBC Three as our trailer is more suited to BBC as they broadcast similar shows such as Waterloo Road and Eastenders, whereas E4 shows more adult programmes such as Skins and Misfits, which features heavy swearing, sexual scenes and drug abuse, which we wouldn't be showing as hard core.

The questions we asked were the following;
What one word best sums up 'The Vale'?
What did you best like about 'The Vale'?
Were there any parts of 'The Vale'? which you did not like?
What television channel do you think would be best to broadcast 'The Vale'?
Were there any parts of 'The Vale' that you didn't like, that we could change next time?
